Peterson Stops Santos in Biloxi And Wins NABO Junior Welterweight Title!
Undefeated junior welterweight Lamont Peterson continued his winning ways with a punishing sixth-round
technical knockout
over Frankie Santos in front of a nationally televised ESPN2 audience in Biloxi, MS.
Peterson, who was recently named the
Friday Night Fights "Prospect of the Year," showed why by dominating
Santos from the outset. Santos refused to come off
his school for the seventh round.
With the win, Peterson raised his record to 22-0, 10 KO's and captures the vacant NABO
Junior Welterweight
title. Santos falls to 15-4-3, seven KO's.

Brad Cooney, Peterson has his sights set on IBF
Junior Welterweight champ Paulie Malignaggi. Peterson told Cooney
he hopes to get a shot at Malignaggi early
